Twelve months later, Schmidt was the top producer in his firm and started to receive national recognition for his success.
When Schmidt started out on his own, he discovered entrepreneurship in the commercial real estate space was not a straightforward path with guaranteed success. The business took years of trial and error, thousands of phone calls, and hundreds of failures to break through. Schmidt put in a lot of work and persevered through the worst seasons of the business, and that’s the only reason he didn’t fail like most commercial real estate entrepreneurs. Although he didn’t become a statistic, Schmidt wishes there was someone or a program out there that could have helped him become more effective.
